Rollers for sale CAD$150
Your bicycle is placed atop the 3 rollers, and you ride the bicycle as if you
are riding on the road.
The 2 rear rollers trap the rear wheel in position, and the motion is transmitted
via the belt to the front roller, which drives the front wheel.
The balance and motion is nearly the same as riding on the road, except that
there is no momentum or wind. It takes focus and balance to remain in stable
motion, and therefore it develops precise bike handling skills and smooth, quick
pedal spin.
There is a steep but short 'learning curve'. It feels nearly impossible to ride
atop the rollers, so the beginner must support themselves by holding a wall
or bench top. Soon the balance is learned, and spinning becomes a joy. A helmet
should be worn initially at least, in case of "stationary crash!"
It should take no more than an hour of practice to learn to ride the rollers.
Black tubular steel base frame.
PVC rollers with roller bearings ("sealed cartridge" type).
Through axles pass through rollers and bolt to steel frame. The unit is therefore
collabsible for storage.
New Urethane belt installed June 2004, unused since.
Thoroughly cleaned. Very good condition. Minor scratches from use. Some surface
corrosion on the underside of the frame. Nothing serious.
